Home Business Success On A Shoestring

It
was in January 2001 when I intensively come in contact with many offers
to start a Home Business Online. I began to see 100’s of
opportunities to start a home business online being promoted at every
turn. At first I thought, that is not for me. That
is for
other people: people who speak native English.
At that time, I was probably right. There were not
so many services, possibilities and offers like
there are
today. One evening, I got an e-mail which grabbed my
attention: "
Anybody Can Make Money With Affiliate Marketing.." After
reading
that email I decided to start my own online Home Business.
I just had to follow a few easy steps. Home businesses must have a
name. Sure, without any experience I made my first small
mistake.
I registered a domain name, paying $30, just to find out that I could
register for less than $10 a year!
I have had to find a Hosting Service to host my web site. Another
mistake I made was saving money on a host provider. I paid for
one
so - called "site in the box", and it really looks like was from the
box - a "Jetix box". Soon enough, I found out all of the
limitations of my future pagesite. It was a very bad idea, to
try saving money on a good host provider.
For more than three years now, I have been registered with a
really revolutionary web hosting service, the "Third Sphere". It gives
me all the tools I need to design, automate and promote my site.
A few years back, I used AWeber, the largest and the best auto
responder service available online. But since "Third Sphere"
hosting comes with an auto responder of its own, and is free
to
use without any limitations, I don't use that fine service any more,
(although I do highly recommend it for anyone starting out online!).
So, after you have registered a domain name and found hosting, with or
without an auto responder, you need to build your web site. For my
first web site I had to pay. I did not know any of HTML code's at that
time, and a good software to build a web site, was far beyond the price
I could afford to pay -– (nothing).

As you will find out, with every affiliate program you join,
will
come an affiliate link. They are long and ugly. People don't like
affiliate links. You have to hide and mask those links with so called
“cloaking scripts”. There are
many cloaking
scripts on the market to buy, but I really like only one that makes it
possible to write something like this:

In the place of “HomeBusiness2Go” you would write
your own
name, or name of your site. My friend have made a script that is great
for this, available for free in my Free Downloads section.
The next big thing is choosing the right affiliate program to promote.
The Affiliate Programs section will help you to make
right decision. I would recommend starting with the
best of
them all: The
Forex Affiliate Program. It is a so - called 2 tier
program. It pays you a flat rate for signing up any
new
members, and pays you 20% from their earnings every month. Read more

Another great one that I would like to recommend is
the AWeber Affiliate Program. It pays in the same way as the
Forex
example above.
Connclusion: You now have a domain name, a host
provider to
host your web site, an autoresponder and a program, you would
like
to promote. You have your basic tools: a Free Web Site Builder and a
Cloacking script to prevent people
manipulating your affiliate link. Now you are ready to make
some money.!
You
will make money through promoting your site. More
visitors means more
potential
buyers. There are many ways to promote your site, but I will just talk
about a few of the most important and free ways to promote. This
is a must for any web site.
One very easy, free, and popular way to promote your site, is to write
review's about products or services you would like to sell on your web
site. Just write a simple review about the product or service, and post
to a free article directory. At the end of the article, include
a
link to your web site. Many article directoryies will not
accept
affiliate links. To build a successful online business, it is essential
to own a domain name.
There are a few 100's or more free
article directories to
submit your article, which is your review about a service or
product. I think that this is one of the best free ways to promote your
site. Your review will be there for the month's and years to come,
continuously driving people on to your site.
If you think you can't write at all, there is solution for that: you
can pay some one to write an article for you. The price is usually
about $5 or more for a single article. Many web site's provide this
kind of service for a payment of $5 or more. I have found a
service for free. You pay only for a work that is done.
The
second step promoting your Home Business, is to set up a
“links” page and start exchanging links with other
related
sites. You can never have enough links pointing to your website. If you
have zero websites linking to you, you will have zero ranking in the
search engines. Linking will help drive your website to the
top
of Google, Yahoo and Msn, which are the biggest search engines
online. You can do it manually, which could take some time or
use
a service that will do it for you.
You
must have a mailing robot or an autoresponder. By offering a free ebook
or a free report to your prospects, you can ask them to leave
an
e-mail address and stay informed about updates on your site.
From
time to time, you can contact them and offer a free membership in
various newsletters, or opportunities to buy a product where
you
are already an affiliate.
Building
an business relationship is very important. Having
your own e-mail list is one of the best ways
to ensure success of your business. AWeber
is, by far,
the best choice if you don’t have a free autoresponder with
in
your hosting account.
You can use Google Adwords to increase your traffic, and later on
Adsense ads when you have modest traffic on your site. Download free
